Ending 2015 as one of the year’s most exciting and talked-about breakthrough acts, the New York duo LION BABE – comprised of singer-songwriter and performance artist Jillian Hervey and instrumentalist and producer Lucas Goodman – are kicking-off the year in spectacular fashion with the release of their hotly anticipated debut album ‘Begin’ (out now on Polydor) and the debut of the slick and stylish visuals for their new single ‘Where Do We Go’.
Already off to a flying start with show-stopping performances on TFI Friday and Alan Carr at the end of last year, and performing the track in Boohoo’s brand-new TV ad campaign, ‘Where Do We Go’ appears on ‘Begin’ – the track is currently on Radio 1’s B list after recently being the station’s ‘Track Of The Day’ and ahead of their upcoming Live Lounge next week with Clara Amfo, the video has been added to MTV Music’s C-list and MTV Base’s B-list upon release. The album features 14 incredibly soulful tracks created by the duo and includes collaborations with the likes of Pharrell Williams, Childish Gambino, Andrew Wyatt and Al Shux.
The band will perform a headline show at London’s Koko on June 1st, which follows their stunning sold-out shows at London’s Scala and Heaven and a string of electrifying international festival performances last year. LION BABE also toured with the British dance duo Disclosure, who they collaborated with on the track ‘Hourglass’ – which features on the Grammy nominated ‘Caracal’ – and have opened up for and performed with at a number of concerts from the iconic Madison Square Garden to the legendary Sydney Opera House.
With an impressive 15 million streams across audio and visual streaming sites just over a year after releasing their debut EP and all eyes still firmly set on them, 2016 is set to be another stellar year for these rapidly rising stars.
