Hot on the heels of dropping her first solo cuts (‘Relationship Goals’ and ‘Don’t Wanna Be Your Lover’) towards the end of last year; Vanessa White has kicked-off 2016 by unveiling her brand new track‘Nostalgia’ and announcing her forthcoming debut EP ‘Chapter One’.
Premiered by Julie Adenuga on her Beats 1 show this morning, the intoxicating track sees Vanessa using her sublime vocals to recount a tale of reminiscing over an old-school love affair. Director and animator Rob Heppell (Crystal Fighters, New Pharaohs, Nowness) provides the striking visuals for the song, written by Vanessa with Thomas Eriksen and Iain James.
February 19th sees the release of ‘Chapter One’, Vanessa’s debut solo EP, which features the previously unheard ‘Lipstick Kisses’ ft Wretch 32, the captivating ‘Relationship Goals’ and ‘Don’t Wanna Be Your Lover’ and future favourite ‘Nostalgia’.
With half a million streams for her solo tracks and visuals since the end of last year and support from the likes of The 405, Wonderland, Clash and The Line Of Best Fit, Vanessa has created a wave of serious momentum which looks set to continue throughout the year.
Vanessa has been busy in the studio working on material for her debut solo album with producers and artists such as Tre Jean-Marie, Future Cut and Snakehips.
